8am. I wondered from the Maharajalela monorail stop, passing that prominent Chinese temple (opposite the Chinese Chamber of Commerce) and into a open air carpark, just before a row of colonial shop houses. For those familiar, at the end of that row of shop stands the law college ATC. I walked through the empty car park and headed to the back alley of the shop houses.
Empty at first, but in time, people emerged like working ants busy entering and exiting porous backdoors of several of the shop houses. I suppose the suspicious looking middle-aged Chinese men standing around kinda gave the plot away and later the girls arriving for work. But what surprised me was the brisk activity happening before 9am in the morning. I though to myself…wow this can be such an interesting statistic…how many working men visit sex dens before going to work?
