The Wonderful Life

Hi and its nice to be back!

Over the past few months I have been photographing socially acceptable and politically correct images of ‘pretty’ things that have come to define our successful world.

Our world that has defined success and portrayed happiness through reductionist benchmarks of namely… high educational achievements and its follow up career ‘guarantee’ of wealth and subsequently power. In main stream media, its the images of such achievements that define a ‘successful life’. Still, deep down we all know, that all that gold and glitter and ‘preemptive’ prep is marketing hype and only a one dimensional outlook on the multifaceted wonders of life. But many are too fearful in trusting that ‘something else’ and pursue this safely marketed dream doggedly. The gravity of such behaviour is far reaching because, …although we may have our reservations, we are too afraid to challenge it:)
So,…Only when we are thrown into the fire, do some of us rise and live the wonderful life🙂

  1. sometimes the competitive world lead you to believe that it’s the higher education that would give you a head start to the outside world. reservations aside, like me, sometimes you get TOO comfortable where you are that you tend to overlook the real challenges in life and you brush aside the need to “rise to the occassion”. thanks for reminding and it’s good to have you back too!!
